Just a simple PvE Mesmer build
I was just looking for a simple PvE mesmer Dom. build that wasn't so similar to the typical e-surgers, and this is what i came up with:
Simple anti-caster Me/E
Domination: 11+1+3
Insp. 10
Fast Cast 10
Energy Surge {E}
Arcane Echo
Power Spike/Power Leak
Shatter Hex
Shatter Enchantment
Power Drain
Drain Enchantment
Glyph of Lesser Energy (for arcane echo)
Of course, if ur up vs. a band of warriors about all you can do is hit them with 2 e-surges, since they dont cast hexes, few use enchants, and all dont use spells.
So yeah, this is just what i thought up in about 10 min. anyideas?

i wouldn't mess with arcane echo or energy surge for an elite. you can't really deny monsters energy in pve. they have too much.
backfire and empathy will carry you through pve. if you have glyph of renewal or echo as your elite you can throw these two around and do a lot of dmg. most mosters are stupid and will keep attacking or casting.

Aye, trying actually drain the enemies energy is a waste of time, by the time you've drained its energy or done enough damage by surging your team will be 2 groups ahead, unless its a mursaat ele in which case your team will have finished the mission.

i may be wrong but i feel esurge and eburn in PVE are used for the damage rather than the edenial.
power spike over leak (use power drain as much as possible though).
shat hex and enchant are good but may be costly when it comes to energy maybe dont bring shat hex in areas which arent hex-heavy.
could use MoR as your elite and change surge for burn? just ideas, good luck.

i was pointing more to the use of e surge and it's being elite. e burn does the same thing for you and you'll free up your elite.
i love shatter hex in pve. that's kick ass damage for a mesmer.
what the build does need for sure is an interrupt for skills and signets. cry of frustration should be in there or leech sig, if not both.
you can echo/glyph of renewal backfire/empathy on two targets then move to someone else and drill them with power drain/power spike if it's a caster or CoF/leech sig if it's a melee foe.
really Toxic since you're goofin a bit you could take phantom pain/shatter delusions. you can open both skills up pretty early in the game and the combo's nasty.
fastcast phantom pain/energy burn/shatter delusions or PP/power spike/shatter.
and you can still fit in empathy....
